Tuileries Garden and the Louvre

We had a lovely picnic lunch in Tuileries Garden,
where the children could also run and play.

Then we went to the Louvre!
Is is huge and we were really only in 1 of the 3 wings, (and it felt like much of our time was spent looking for a lift or a bathroom for someone!) but we saw the 3 pieces we came for- the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and Winged Victory! The artwork was huge canvas, statues, pottery, and the ceilings throughout were amazing.

Later in the day, we went to Notre Dame but as the lines were already closed for the day we only saw from the outside.  

It was beginning to rain lightly and we needed a snack.  We went to a restaurant called Esmeralda, beside Notre Dame, and had yummy dessert crepes!
