January school

In Bible, we talked about Yeshua as the Lamb, the Vine, and the Head of the Body.

In history, Abigail and Hadassah learned about Eli Whitney and the cotton gin, the Louisiana Purchase, the War of 1812, Robert Fulton and the steam engine, Johnny Appleseed, George Washington Carver, Rosa Parks and Helen Keller.
They studied TN, OH, LA, IN, MS, IL, and AL.

Science- the girls studied animals and plants, and the human body.

Abigail finished book 1 of Horizons Math 3rd grade and began book 2.
Abigail also added additional dance classes (a end Ballet II class and Modern I) on Thursday afternoons (music lessons moved to Friday).

Hadassah finished Explode the Code book 3 and will begin book 4.

We started reading On the Banks of Plum Creek together.

Corban began BJU Space and Earth Science curriculum, he will do it on his own at home as a fun way to continue to learn more about space!

Asher plays hard and sleeps hard (and makes sure all his bed buddies are tucked in!)

We had several ice cream parties this month- Corban, Abigail and Hadassah all lost a tooth! 

After their eye exams, the girls stopped for croissants and talked memories of Paris!

Mommy brought home the balloons from an event and Asher was so excited to find them the next morning!

January dates

We continued our 8th night of Hanukkah gift tradition with the date jar refilled for 2018!

Corban and Daddy had a breakfast date at Chik-fil-a!

Abigail and Daddy...

Hadassah and Mommy went to Home Depot for a building project date!  Hadassah built, painted, and made a perpetual calendar.

Asher and Mommy also went to Chik-fil-a for their date this month!  After dropping the can off for maintenance check they walked over, Asher got a kids meal- which included a fun puppy game that they played!- and a milkshake.

Dinner and movie (The Greatest Showman- really good!!) date!

American Heritage Girls

A local beekeeper came to one of the meetings to teach the girls about bees, hives, and honey!

They went on a nature hike at Secret Woods park. 

 
With a great park guide, they saw crabs, ibis, manatee, and learned about trees in the area!

Soccer

Hadassah and Asher are doing i9 soccer!

It is a 7 week program with practice and game immediately after on Sunday.

Hadassah is on the Bobcats!

Hadassah had a great first game and celebrated with a snow cone!

Asher is on the Tigers!

Asher really enjoyed practice but 

then decided to sit on the corner of the field most of the game.

 But he has fun with his buddy Riley!

Indiana Trip

Daddy took the children to Indiana for the weekend! 
They spent the weekend with the Brothers family and playing in the snow!

Best Friends Weekend in Naples!

Kathy and Rosa both flew into Fort Lauderdale,
we drove to Naples for the weekend
and had a great time laughing, listening, and making new memories together!
