May dates

Corban and Hadassah had a double date this month with Mommy!  We stayed in a hotel over night and started watching the Chronicles of Narnia movies!  Hadassah had finished reading the books and they were excited to watch together.  There was some trouble getting the movie to play so we finished watching it at home and watched the next too!

Abigail and Daddy went out to lunch together for their date!
Asher and Daddy ordered Chik-fil-a (a 30 count nuggets just for the the two of them and ate them all!) and watched the Lego movie together for their date this month!

Mommy and Daddy lunch date!
We went out to lunch close to the house, while the children stayed home with Corban in charge! Everyone did great!

Grace's birthday party!

While the boys were away for the night, the girls watched Little Women with nacho dinner and then did face masks together!

Jack and Jill Flip
Flops on the Dock event
It was our first in-person event in over a year, we invited Brittany and Stephen to join us, it was outside at the yacht club and people weren't wearing masks!
(and Corban babysat everyone at home!  He had everyone in bed and asleep when we got home- he was tired but waiting up for us!)

With classes/exams finished, Corban has used his extra time to teach himself how to knit and embroider!

Asher created his own workout (carry a really heavy rock around the park) while Corban and Hadassah are at swimming.

Poke bowls and pool time to kick-off summer break!

Look up its the moon!

May school

In April, Corban took the Level 1 National Latin Exam as a Lukeion student and this month he was recognized with a certificate and medal for receiving a perfect score on the exam!
(Fewer than 1% of students that take the exam get a perfect score!) We gave Corban The Hobbit in Latin as a gift.

Last day of school pictures!
This year it felt like May was an entire month of rolling end dates with varying last day/week of classes depending on schedules.  Corban and Abigail finished their Equip classes early in the month, but Hadassah and Asher had two more weeks of schoolwork.
All of the children had a great year and did very well.
2020-2021 was a strange school year, so much closed or changed due to COVID but they handled those adjustments well, we all learned how to navigate Zoom (and other online and virtual formats), and they had fun learning!
