Time with a Princess

Sunday afternoon, Abigail and I had some wonderful mommy/daughter time and went to see Beauty and the Beast

(the tickets were another sweet birthday surprise from Chris!)
at the Miniaci Performing Arts Center.

It was an excellent performance and we had so much fun together!

Beautiful girl!

Abigail told me the first dress I had on was not a "princess dress" and I needed to change to the dress that she picked to "help" me!

Abigail loved being dressed up, watching the dancing and singing, and thought the Beast looked like a lion!

She held my hand for the entire show!

There was face painting before (but Abigail insisted on staying in her seat to wait for the show and not miss anything!) and ice cream sandwiches after the performance (she did not hesitate to take part in that fun)!

Then we went to a delicious bakery to enjoy some more treats!
Abigail picked out a raspberry tart and a chocolate filled heart cookie.

Date with the Music Man

Saturday evening, Corban and I had a special date night and went to see the musical The Music Man performed live at the Miramar Cultural Center!

Corban (with Daddy's help) surprised me with a beautiful orchid corsage!

SO handsome!!

I knew it was going to be a "fancy" date when Corban ran down to put his tie on (with his pajamas!) when we were talking about it over breakfast!






















Corban was a gentleman--opening doors,holding my hand, asked me once if I would marry him, and telling me over and over how beautiful I look (even that my shoes look pretty, which he said laughing with, "I don't know why I say that but Daddy said girls like to hear that!").



We ate dinner at Chik-fil-a (with a milk shake!).










Earlier in the day Chris had told Corban he could take Mommy out to dinner before the show. Corban whispered, "You'll have to give me some of the money you get at work."
That evening, Corban proudly carried Daddy's credit card in his pocket!

We had a GREAT time at The Music Man!

Corban sat literally on the edge of his seat for most of the show, was the most enthusiastic applauder in the audience, received many compliments on how nice he looked and how well behaved he was, and really enjoyed the full marching band that performed in the aisles at the end of the show!

I had a fantastic birthday week!!

I was spoiled with lots of love, singing messages, cards and gifts, time with family, and yummy cake!
Wednesday morning, I woke up to the sound of Corban on the monitor telling his toys, "Today is Mommy's birthday!"
Monday, Chris had a wonderful massage scheduled for me,
Wednesday, we all went out to lunch together,
Saturday, Corban and I had a special date night,
and Sunday, Abigail and I had some fun girl time!

Preggers

I am now 9 months!

The countdown to baby's arrival has begun and we are excited to meet our little girl soon! Baby is head down, active (she is VERY responsive to touch or pressure on my belly), and due date is March 13.

Sickies

No fun pictures or great adventures from last week.

While many were snowed in, we had weather in the 80's here but still spent most of the week at home...sick. I started feeling bad last weekend, and then over the week it spread to Abigail, Corban and Chris. We are all MUCH better now (only a bit of lingering cough) and thankful for healthy bodies!
