3 little Pendraks

So, this was a frequent conversation I heard over the week,
Michael: "Mommy..."
Abigail: "No, no! That not your Mommy. MY mommy. Your mommy on a boat."
even big boys need naps: I found this lump of pillows on the futon and Corban sleeping underneath!

Our nephew, Michael, is staying with us for a week while his parents and little brother are on a cruise. The cousins are having lots of fun; giggling, chasing in circles (Corban & Michael), antagonizing (Abigail and Michael), and being silly together!

Tuesday, we went to Chik-fil-a for lunch and some play time. I am definitely appreciating indoors, enclosed play areas!!

Mama's Boy
I am SO excited about having two little girls, but I treasure the ways that Corban unabashedly showers me with his love!
As I walked him out to the car before he left on his trip last week, he picked a big handful of flowers for me, told me to keep them where I could see them and know he loves me. He even checked to make sure that I'd put them on the counter when we talked on the phone (I assured him they were in a bowl and would still be there when he got back!).
On his drive home he made this picture for me. At the top he wrote
I LV U.
He proudly explained to me that he sounded it out and wrote it all by himself, "because I love you so much, Mama!"
Today, I found this on the counter. Corban said "I fixed them for you, so you know I love you!"
And for an Abigail story: today she told me, "my hiney not working!" which translated means she wasn't able to pull her panties up all by herself!

Local Yokels
We have lived in Fort Lauderdale for over a year now!
We moved down November 5th, 2009 and Chris officially started working with Merrill Lynch the following week. After over 9 years in Orlando it was a big move and transition for our family, but we love the area, have settled into activities and friendships here, and really enjoy this location/time in our lives!Being so close to the beach (we live within 2 miles) means a very temperate climate with little fluctuation in temperature throughout the year and tropical with lots of palm trees and brightly-colored flowers. I have even seen a flock of parrots outside our house and an iguana climb over our fence! We did have a slight cold snap last weekend (highs in low 70's), so we put on our sweatshirts to play at the park near our house that afternoon.
We also live within 10 minutes of Las Olas/downtown where Chris works (and a cute shopping/restaurant street), which has been a great location for an easy commute allowing the four of us to eat breakfast and dinner together most days of the week. Chris's job has been a great fit and he really enjoys the team he is a part of! He is also working on a Masters in Economics degree, taking 3 classes this semester at Florida Atlantic University.

Baby Girl
Friday, Chris and I went for a second ultrasound appointmentand got to see another glimpse of our baby girl!
Everything looks great, healthy and normal.She now weighs 1 lb. 2 oz. (she has doubled in 3 1/2 weeks!).
We saw her little mouth open and close and her eyelids shut, as she slept with one hand up behind/beside her head and the other in front of her face.
Gig 'em Aggies?!?
My belly button is completely and "outie" now, which Corban and Abigail both think is funny to push!
Baby is active, not as strong as the kicks/pushes Corban gave but more so than Abigail. Chris and I both saw my belly moving as she moved about last night!
