more July pics

Abigail was so excited to be able to sign up for the summer reading programs this year!  Barnes & Noble has a program where after reading 8 books, children get to pick a free book!
Corban and Abigail are both doing the Summer Reading program at the library too.
Moon Fest (with activities for families to celebrate the 45th anniversary of first Apollo moon landing!)
at the Planetarium on Nova campus
We had all windows and doors on our home replaced.
sliding glass doors were converted to french doors

Family Birthday

To celebrate our 9th anniversary,
we went to Mai-Kai  Polynesian restaurant and show.
the children's pineapple punch was served in a real pineapple
The children in the audience were invited to join the children performing in the show for one song.  Abigail led Hadassah up to the stage and they danced together!

We went out to dinner
(without the children!)
another night!

Corban often tells us that he can't wait for when he and Asher can share a room, but for now he is very excited (and Asher is content too) on nights when we put the pack'n'play in his room so the boys can sleep together!

Turkey

Kylie and I went to our 7th grade dance together, both in pink, Laura Ashley dresses.
Our parents dropped us off, went to dinner and then to our surprise
(we ran to hide in the bathroom when we saw them!) came to the dance!
I gave my dress to Ms. Sherry and asked if she would use it to make dresses for
Abigail and Hadassah.  She chose this pretty pattern, coordinated great fabrics and even made adorable hair accessories for the girls.
The girls love these special dresses!
When Mr. Geoff and Ms. Sherry sent the dresses they also filled the box with all kinds of wonderful treats for our whole family from Turkey (where they now live)!
Several yummy foods, a shirt for Corban, beautiful silk scarf for me, puppets for the children, and a pomegranate shaped dish (and for most of the items she included information about the history on!).

July dates

Corban and Mommy
ice cream date
Corban choose an Oreo sundae with America's Birthday Cake,
Mint Chocolate Chip and Spider-Man 2D ice cream and hot fudge!

Abigail and Daddy
Sock-Hop Dance date
The city of Plantation hosts an annual Daddy/Daughter dance date!
It was well decorated, a fun theme and they had a great time!

Hadassah and Daddy bookstore date

Daddy and Hadassah had fun at the bookstore,
looking at books,
playing in the lego area
and then she picked out
two Frozen books
to bring home!

Chris creatively planned a great at-home date for us!

He gave me an invitation for a date after the children were in bed that evening.
The table was set with
a new game and puzzle,
pina colada's in fun new cups, lei's and coconuts!
And he had picked up sushi for our dinner.

We went on a double date,
with our friends
the Shermans,
to a 4-course dinner
and wine pairing demonstration class at Publix Aprons Cooking School.
