Corban and Hadassah went to a library event for the lunar landing 50th anniversary!

Hadassah let me put rollers in her hair one night to sleep with, the next morning she had a head full of curls!  But she didn't like it, she said, "I don't look like Hadassah!"

our neighborhood has several baby duck families

I found an A&M shirt in South FL! (not a big demand here- so it was on clearance for $2!)

July dates

Corban and Daddy took an Introduction to Woodworking class together!  It was a 2 day class and they each made their own a cutting board and bread knife.
Abigail and Mommy's date for the month was our time together in the van driving back and forth to Miami Beach for her MCB intensive- lots of travel time to talk, listen to Story of the World history, sing worship music, and pray together.
Hadassah and Daddy's date for the month was that she went along on Corban's birthday weekend and got to snorkel at the Dry Tortugas!
Asher and Mommy went on a progressive date this month!

First, we went to the Plantation library where Asher chose a movie to watch later.
Then, we went to Costco for an ice cream sundae (he shared a couple bites!).  After that, we went to Whole Foods where we got sushi to take home and share for lunch together!

Bass Museum of Art

The Bass Museum of Art is across the street from MCB, so we decided to spend an afternoon there while Abigail was at dance.  While there were some strange modern(?!?) pieces, the museum was much larger than I expected, had a fun children's explorers box that helped us all to slow down in each room to appreciate the pieces, and had a wonderful collection of Sheila Hicks huge, colorful, textile pieces!

A beautiful Botticelli and Ghirlandaio piece "The Coronation of the Virgin"

Hadassah would read the children's cards and then get out the corresponding activity to do with Asher.

Miami Beach

The first couple weeks that Abigail had dance the other children were all at camp, so Mommy had lots of quiet time for walking, reading, and looking in stores on Lincoln Road!

The 3rd week, Corban came along and enjoyed lots of time in the library!

Which became a favorite for everyone the next 2 weeks, when we were all spending the day in Miami Beach.  The entire 2nd floor is a nice children's area filled with books and computers, there is also an arts/technology room with daily rotating activities that they really enjoyed!

But we would still get out to take a short walk in the park

or to get a sweet treat!

A few days we had a picnic lunch in the park- with a tree to climb and chess table!
Not exactly Miami Beach, but another day while Abigail was at MCB, I took the rest of the children to the Adventura Mall for the afternoon.
