Fashion Sense

Abigail likes to wear matching sister outfits, likes to match mommy, likes to wear Corban's hand-me-downs, and likes to wear all her favorite things at the same time!
She likes it when I pick out her clothes and likes to pick out for herself.
She likes shoes, bows, belts, hats, socks, jackets, twirl dresses, polka dots, sparkles, princesses, and pink!
she got herself ready: princess hat, flower shirt, flower belt (worn high), plaid shorts, mis-matched socks, big smile
added finishing touches: princess sunglasses, 1 leg warmer, flower shoes, jacket (even though its 80!), and thumbs up!
Daddy: "Abigail, your socks don't match"
Abigail: "thank you"

she likes to walk around the house in my shoes

"take a picture of me with my babies"
"I want to sleep on my nap mat, by Hadassah"
(reminds me of this picture when Corban use to do the same)

Barracuda's Soccer

Corban's last soccer game was on Saturday and the Barracuda's did a super job this season! Corban had a lot of fun playing soccer!
There are really only 2 positions at this age: goalie and the mob of all the other children chasing the ball.
But there are other important things going on, like laughing with friends, talking about temporary jersey's (because both teams were orange at the game this week), snack options after the game...

trophy time!

The Barracuda's had terrific (and patient!) coaches who did a fantastic job of teaching the basics of the sport while emphasizing teamwork and FUN!

Monday was Abigail's last gymnastics class. She has done great and enjoys all the tumbling and balance and jumping and climbing!

Dates

We spend alot of GREAT time together as a family--special times and just the day-to-day--but Chris and I also recognize the importance of quality one-on-one time, with each other and with the children.
So we try to plan "dates" with Corban and Abigail. They look forward to those times and so do we! Sometimes it is a fun outing, sometimes its just running an errand, and sometimes it's doing something together at home.

Daddy/Corban Date for breakfast at Panera.

This was a date that Corban gave Daddy as a gift (I helped him get a gift card so he could take Daddy out for "boy breakfast"), and Chris brought along Connect 4 for some fun!

Sunday, I told Corban that he and I were going on a movie date.
I had changed into sweatpants after church and thought that would be fine. But Chris called up that I needed to change when Corban proudly showed him how he had gotten himself dressed in his nice pants, button up shirt and a vest (the same outfit he wore on our Music Man date!). He looked so handsome and called up to me "just wear something I'll like"!
We were running late for the show and decided to wait and go to Starbucks instead. Corban wanted a "cold hot chocolate" and we had a great time sitting outside and talking. Corban is such a gentleman!

The next day we went back to watch the 3D SeaRex IMAX movie! The girls went with us, Hadassah slept through the show and Abigail didn't want to wear the glasses but sat quietly.

And sometimes a "date" is just boy time wrestling with Daddy on the sofa!
