 Corban, Abigail and Hadassah did a week of swim team trial- it was fun but we've decided that they will do SAINTs P.E. program this year instead.  While they swam, Asher played in the waterpark and Hadassah go to try the diving board!

Asher was sitting by Mommy, asked to hold her hand and thought it was funny when she told him one day he will be so much bigger than she is!

August dates

Corban and Daddy had a movie date and watched Clash of the Titans!

Abigail got a new outfit (with leggings that matched Mommy's!) and they went out for a bubble tea drink (she chose strawberry with kiwi bubbles) together!

Hadassah and Mommy had a pedicure date!  It was Hadassah's first pedicure at a nail salon and she picked a bright blue for Mommy's toes and sparkly pink and blue for hers!

Asher and Daddy had a "worker man" date at Home Depot!
They went to a children's building project and Asher got to build and paint a truck!

August school

 We have started school! 

Corban is in 6th grade!
Corban is doing Equip on Tuesdays and is taking 7th grade curriculum (after much prayer and discussion we felt like this would be the best academic placement for Corban this year)- his classes are Latin I, Writing and Grammar, Science, Literature, and Math.  He will be in classes once a week and then have assignments to complete at home the other days. 
To be ready for 7th grade math this school year, Corban decided at the beginning of the summer that he would work through the 6th grade BJU Math curriculum.  He knew that Mommy and Daddy were available to help as needed, but Corban read and taught himself the material, and then did an excellent job on the tests and cumulative reviews.

At home Corban will also be doing Daily Grams, continuing with Proverbs as copywork and doing A Boy After God's Own Heart Bible study with Daddy.  

Abigail is in 3rd grade!

Abigail will be doing the MFW Adventures in U.S. History (this will be our Bible, History and Science curriculum), Horizons 3 Math,  Spelling Workout C, American Adventures, and Language Lessons 3.

Hadassah is in 1st grade!

Hadassah will also be doing the MFW Adventures in U.S. History and we are excited about the girls having that learning time together! 

Hadassah will be doing Horizons 1 Math, Explode the Code 1, Pathway readers and workbooks for 1st grade, and continuing through Language Lessons 2.

The girls also have a new short Girls Veggie Tales Bedtime devotional book to read with Mommy each night before bed.  We have started reading Little House in the Big Woods and will be reading through all of the Little House on the Prairie series out-loud together this year.  For fun and to compliment their history, the girls are also watching the LHOP T.V. series and Liberty Kids series. 

Asher is in Pre-K!

Asher is continuing doing BFIAR with Mommy and really enjoys his learning time each day.  He also stared a new Pre-K workbook just for him to practice letters and numbers.  This month we spent 2 weeks on The Very Hungry Caterpillar and during that time he memorized Galatians 5:22-23 with hand motions for the Fruit of the Spirit!
