Watermelon Cookies

I found this fun, healthy, yummy recipe in Family Fun and it was a BIG hit at our house over the weekend (Corban even requested them again instead of ice cream!).
**I used plain Greek yogurt and just spread with a spoon.

Sitting in a Garden

We spent half a day at the Naples Botanical Garden. It is a beautiful garden that has been open for less than a year and was filled with several wonderful areas to explore!

There was a fantastic "children's garden" where we went for story and craft time, a splash park, Abigail played in a little house, and Corban watered the plants!

a fort to climb...and a crawl space for a snack!

Beachcombing

Naples has beautiful beaches with hardly any waves, and LOTS of seashells! We went to the beach everyday at low tide and collected shells, held several starfish, a sanddollar, and a hermit crab, and played in the ocean!

Paradise Coast

We took a trip to Naples, FL (2 hours away, on the Gulf/west coast) for a long weekend! It was a great time together as a family, relaxing, playing and exploring a beautiful area!
1st minivan roadtrip meant 1st time to use the DVD and headsets!

We stayed at a great location right on the bay and less than a mile to the beach!

Corban had fun at the pool with several children from England, this game looks a bit like "American revolution"!

Abigail preferred the kiddie pool where she could splash around and then climb in and out whenever she wanted.

Birds of a Feather

Our friends, Kathy and Andy, sent a package of goodies for Corban and Abigail. They included a GIANT sequoia pinecone that they picked up for Corban!

We had recently read about making a pinecone into a bird feeder. So Corban slathered on peanut butter, rolled it in bird seed, and then we hung the feeder from a tree in the front yard!
