Last Week

 Corban lost his second tooth!
Corban decorated this envelope--picture of himself with missing tooth, and labeled with his name, age, and a circle around where the tooth is in the envelope!

To celebrate, we had sprinkles pancakes for breakfast and then he had a fun boys afternoon with Daddy at the museum.

Abigail gave herself a smiley face (girl with a bow!) on her numbers page!
While playing, the key rack fell and hit Abigail's nose.
It made a deep cut, so Chris took her to have it checked.  The doctor said that skin glue would be the best option for the cut and least likely to leave a permanent scar.  The glue stayed on for 5 days and it is continuing to heal well

Princess Bicycle

We went to the park for one of Abigail's birthday gifts.  She has been asking for a big bicycle and points out bike's to us whenever she can.  She rode her tricycle for awhile with her new princess helmet and then we surprised her with her bicycle!  She was so excited about all the princesses and streamers and carriage for a doll!  She is starting with it as a balance bike,  and we'll soon add the pedals with training wheels.

Hadassah quickly started trying out her "new" ride

The Big 0-4

Abigail's birthday requests show much of her personality.
She asked for a birthday party at home, but with no guests, only our family.

Abigail wanted a "pin the princess" like the Lego face I made Corban.

But she didn't want to blindfold and tape parts on, "because that will make her look silly and I don't want her to be funny.  So I will just make her."

The morning began with balloons falling into her room when she opened her bedroom door!

Abigail asked that she get to help make her cake (which she had already made clear should be "pink, all pink, with pink on the inside and the outside"!).  She did not want to be surprised, she wanted to be a part of all that went on in the kitchen.

The day before her birthday, she helped make the cream cheese icing and strawberry cake.  I assembled and iced the cake that night and had it waiting for her to decorate in the morning.

Corban picked out these flowers for Abigail!
He went to the store with Daddy and told the florist what he wanted for his sister- unprompted.

Corban was also very generous and intentional with gifts.  He wanted to use $3 of his own money to buy 3 gifts for Abigail at the dollar store.  He looked all over the store to pick out the 3 things he knew she would like most (berry lipstick, light-up head band and a wand).

  Abigail got a manicure!
She picked bright purple polish with a white flower on her middle fingers.  She did a great job of sitting still and was so excited about her pretty nails!  She wanted me to paint her toenails when we got home :)
