Watching Corban drive off on his own for the first time!

While we were in AR/CO/Orlando, Kyon went to two weeks of training and boarding with Victoria at Take the Lead K9.  She sent us updates and this picture of him staying on place with a cat definitely showed how well he was doing!

Hadassah has her own library card!

For Corban's birthday,
Abigail gifted him a date to Dunkin Donuts. 
He drove, and they got ice cream and donuts!

Our main A/C unit went out and needed to be replaced!  For a couple nights, everyone camped out overnight in Mommy and Daddy's room (one night we all had a picnic dinner there too!).

August dates

Corban and Daddy went to the DMV for Corban's drivers license!  Even with an appointment (scheduled more than a month before!), they still had a to wait for about 2 hours (outside line, inside line, and finally with a number!).

Abigail and Daddy went kayaking together for their date!

Hadassah and Mommy had a tea party and Mommy introduced the Great Dates for Moms and Daughters book that we will be starting!

Asher and Mommy went to Barnes and Noble - we had fun looking around the store, asking "would you rather" questions, and having a treat (Asher's cookie was as big as his face!)!

1st day of School

2022-2023

Sophomore - 10th grade

Corban is taking 4 classes with Lukeion Project this year (all live, virtual classes). 
Latin III, Greek II, Advanced Classical Literature (fall- Myths, spring- Epics), and Classical History (fall- the Greeks, spring- the Romans).
He is taking 2 dual-enroll classes this semester;  Programming in C (COP 3223) virtually with UCF and Calculus I (MAC 2311) in person at Broward College.

He is completing his Logic for Mathematics I course through Imacs.

Corban is also competing with HEAT swim team (practicing with Plantation Swim) this fall. 

Corban got his student ID for Broward College.  Tuesday and Thursday mornings, he drives himself to the south campus for Calculus class.  He quickly became a favorite of the professor and the one that other students turned to for help, as he consistently scored highest on exams and group problem work in class.

8th grade
Abigail is taking American History, English Writing/Grammar, Life Science B, and Literature with Equip Education.  All classes meet virtually once/week.

Abigail will be doing Pre-Algebra Math with Mommy.

6 days a week (Monday-Friday evenings and Saturday afternoon), she will be taking dance at Miami City Ballet in Student Division Level 6A

6th grade

Hadassah is taking Human Anatomy, Literature, English Writing/Grammar, and Geography with Equip Education.

She is taking Math through EMF (an online curriculum by Imacs).
Hadassah will continue art classes with Ms. Mariane on Friday mornings and take Jazz II/III with Ms. Mackie at Selah on Tuesday (a big change from Modern but that class didn't work with her schedule this year).

She and Asher are continuing sailing in the Opti Green Fleet at LYC.
Hadassah also enjoys going to Impact, Rio's middle school church youth group, on Wednesday evenings.

3rd grade

Asher will be doing My Fathers World: Creation to the Greeks for Bible, History, and Science this year.  He will be completing the Pathway Reader/Workbook:  More Busy Times and then doing Language Lessons 3, and he is doing Spelling Workout C. 
He is completing Horizon Math 3 book 2 and then will begin Saxon 5/4, and continues reading through the Life of Fred series.
On Tuesdays, Asher takes Imacs Intermediate Math Enrichment virtually and he is very excited to continue sailing at LYC (Fridays 3:30-6, Saturday and Sunday 10-3).

All children will continue to have weekly music lessons with Mr. Charles. 
Corban for violin and other children are all practicing piano.
