Back to School

We have decided to home school Corban this year for kindergarten.
Lots of great reasons why and we are all excited about this decision!
We are doing the Foundations program with Classical Conversations, so one day a week Corban goes to class. There are two kindergarten age classes, with 8 children in each at our location. While Corban is in class, I sit in the back (with Hadassah) and observe the material being introduced for the week. There is a great nursery program that Abigail goes to during that time. After class, we stay for lunch and social time for the mom's and playground time for the children.
And Corban has started reading some BOB books by himself!

"YAY!" for school

Chris also started classes again on Tuesday. Two evenings a week, he hurries home for a quick dinner with us and then heads to FAU for his classes. He has four more classes to complete his Masters in Economics!

Get Away

Chris had a meeting in Naples on Monday, so we decided to make a mini-vacation out of it and go as a family!
We went back to the lovely Naples Botanical garden,

had fun at the hotel (Corban came up with a great "scavenger hunt" game - complete with cards that he wrote activities on to do in order to find the next clue - for us to play in the room!),

swam at the pool
,

lounged by the pool
,

had a giant margarita,

posed with statues,

discovered a great playground,

and saw a full rainbow on the drive home!

Five Months Old

Hadassah Pearl Pendrak
Five Months
16.5 pounds
26 inches
Hadassah is starting to lose some of her light brown baby hair
and the hair underneath is all light blonde.

She is not officially crawling yet, but she can certainly wiggle and move and turn and squirm with purpose to get to the toy she wants!

And that precious gummy grin will soon be toothy! These two little teeth started to peek through today!

Best Medicine

Grandmother and Grandpa came to visit!
We enjoyed having them come down; getting to show them Chris's office, our home and the beach and to just spend some fun time together. Martha Ann's surgery is this week and they said spending time with grandchildren is the best medicine!

We went to the beach! Walked along the shore, played in the sand, splashed in the water, and drooled on sunglasses
