Asher

This month, as Asher builds things he will often ask to borrow my phone to go take
a picture of his new creation. 

He'll sometimes take a selfie too!

This one he requested, he wanted Daddy to see him trying on this hat at Target.

Asher plays hard and sleeps hard-

 and his favorite place to sleep is sneaking into Mommy and Daddy's bed.

February dates

Corban and Mommy went to see the Boston Pops Symphony perform famous movie pieces composed by John Williams.

Abigail and Daddy had a make-up date from January (combined with her birthday gift to him) of planting beautiful flowers and some veggies for salsa (from seed) in containers.  

Hadassah and Mommy went to a special showing of the new IMAX movie Great Bear Rainforest with a lecture before with the producer of the film and a couple of other people sharing about that area of Canada and conservation efforts to protect the animals there.

They went out to breakfast together at Chik-fil-a and then to see the Lego II movie!

Abigail auditioned (in Miami) for both the SAB and MCB Summer Intensives.  

She was selected for Level II of Miami City Ballet's Summer program
(which will be 6 days a week for 5 weeks this summer!), we are very proud of her hard work and she is excited about this opportunity!

We went to our 1st hockey game- with our community group and a couple other families from church- and had fun with friends!

We miss having the Sherman family living as close, but still saw them a few times this month!

Our starfruit tree is finished for the season- we had 228!

Backyard fun in February!

Abigail's tooth had been loose for months but not fallen out, so at the children's dental cleaning it was pulled.

Mommy is 41!

Birthday dinner at Grand Luxe

Earlier in the week, Daddy surprised Mommy with tickets to the opera Figgaro!  First opera for either of us, it was funny, we had great seats (a box!) to see the show and watch the orchestra (the conductor played the harpiscord!) and we really enjoyed!

Cheers to 41 years!

The MOMs steer team surprised me with a lovely plant and a birthday party at our planning meeting and I took the extra meringue cookies home to share!

February school

He is a 7th grade student in the 8th grade classes on Tuesday
and the 9th grade Algebra class on Thursday.

Abigail and Hadassah finished studying Saudi Arabia, then learned about India for 2 weeks, and are now studying China.  In Science the focus was on Mountains and for Bible they learned about Judson, Carmichael, and Hundson.

Hadassah finished her Pathway book/workbook and began More Days Gone By book and workbook.  She also finished Explode the Code book 6.

Abigail and Hadassah wanted to match going to Imacs one Wednesday!

Asher learned P for Penguin, K for Kangaroo, and Z for Zebra!

Asher had fun with the marble painting zebra stripes on the letter Z!

It was also fun to look back to when the other children did this same art project!
