Mommy playdate

Last week, my friend Lindsey had Abigail (4 1/2 months), Jenn, Michael (4 weeks), and me over for a yummy lunch and a baby playdate with her and little Maci (8 weeks). As you can see the little people all had a blast "hanging out" together while the mommies enjoyed some adult conversation and I was introduced to the fun world of Wii!

Morning Games

Fun at our house in the morning usually includes Corban "hiding." If Abigail knows where she isn't telling...Oh, there he is!

The Muffin Man

Yesterday, we got the book If you give a Moose a Muffin. Corban thought it was funny and we decided to make muffins together for our bible study group.

Corban is doing super with learning the alphabet (he can identify about half the letters on flash cards now)
and doing numbers 1-10 (he really likes to count for hide and seek!)

Sunny Saturday

Today's high is 69 and it is beautiful out. So this morning, after a pancake breakfast by Daddy, we went to a new park to enjoy some time outside!

Four Months

Abigail is four months old!

She weighs 12 pounds 12 ounces and is 24.5 inches long

Roly Poly

Abigail has mastered rolling from her back to her tummy and sleeping through the night!








She first rolled from her stomach to back at two weeks, but recently has been doing that much more regularly, and then today Abigail turned from her back to her stomach.



Last night, we put Abigail in her crib at 11:00 and she slept until a little after 8:00 this morning!

Ruby

A few weeks ago Chris and I were honored with the invitation to join a couple for dinner in celebration of their 40th anniversary! We met Joan and Chandra Doshi the year before when they asked if we would take a picture of them (on their 39th wedding anniversary) and in early December received a call asking if we would join them for dinner again at Udipi (a yummy, vegetarian Indian restaurant) this year. It was such a special evening celebrating with a wonderful couple!

Surprise

I planned a "surprise" birthday party for Chris on Saturday night. He, of course, found out about the plans but still humored me by acting like he didn't know (until he arrived by coming in through the back and yelling "surprise" to all of us!). It was still a fun night with everyone over! There was a fire pit in the backyard, card game, food, talking, and several babies (5 children with Corban and Abigail as the oldest two!). Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures :(

Magical Birthday

Happy Birthday Chris!!




Yesterday, we woke up and had breakfast together as a family (eggies first and then cake!), and then the boys headed out for their Dad/Son day together at the Magic Kingdom! Disney is doing a promotional this year and on your birthday you can go to a park for free. They had a great time together!




it was also Corban's half birthday, he is now 2 1/2!!

As part of Corban's bedtime routine we read a bible story before he goes to sleep at night. His favorite is the story of Jonah. Here is Corban telling the story (with just a little prompting!).

This afternoon as a "big special treat" (meaning Corban took a nap today and had no potty accidents!!) we went to Chuck E. Cheese's as a family, and since Grandmother and Grandpa had come up for the day they joined us for the fun!
