February was a busy month for us,

filled with lots of special time with family and friends!

We spent the last weekend of the month in Fort Myers Beach.
Friends from Indiana were visiting and we met them for some fun beach time.
Corban was very excited to meet his pen pal, Sophia (in the middle)!
They have been writing letters to one another (with some help from the mom's) this year.

While we were on the west coast, we went to the Naples Botanical garden.

Eleven Months

Hadassah Pearl

11 months
21 lbs * 29 in

Hadassah now has

8 teeth (4 top and 4 bottom),
is walking more and more,
does not like to wear a bow
(but likes to play a game of
putting it on her head),
loves baby dolls
(she holds and rocks them),
third word is baby
(sounds like "bay-bay" and what
she excitedly calls her doll and anyone younger than she is),
she is funny and likes to make
us laugh by being silly
(and a bit of a ham because
she waits for the laugh!),
loves playing peek-a-boo
(she'll put her hands over her eyes
and giggle to start a game),
healthy, happy, wonderful!

My Grandma and Uncle Randy came to visit!

We had a great time together, enjoyed getting to show them some of our life in Florida and were so thankful they were able to come!

I is for Insects

There is a week unit study on Insects in our My Father's World curriculum and everything came together perfectly for us to really interact with the study this week!

the ants arrived (I still can't believe that I ordered/paid for ants to be mailed to us!)
and we set up our ant hill

they have been interesting to watch





while we were visiting,
the weekend before,
we asked Grandpa to give us a tour of his bee hives and honey process.

And then, this weekend at the museum there was a Bugs event planned
with several activities,










learning stations,
and a ladybug release!


Corban got his ladybugs and was done. Abigail tried 3 times to get ladybugs but this was her reaction to them every time:
