Homonyms

Where's Abigail?
Copying her brother, Abigail thought she would hide in the pantry (she just doesn't tuck her legs in)!

For Abigail "juice" means all things liquid:
  • Something to drink in her cup.
  • Driving over a bridge, eyes wide and pointing at the ocean.
  • Looking out the window at rain, with spirit fingers

Going the Distance

Sunday, we went to NASCAR's Daytona 500 Experience! Corban's new favorite movie is Cars, so we thought he would enjoy seeing the race cars and track. I was quickly corrected that it is "not where Lightning McQueen lives, this is just where he races and that's why he isn't here today."

Pit Road

We watched an IMAX film, went on a tram tour of the race track, watched a tire change, saw cars, and learned all about NASCAR history!

Abigail loved watching the fish swim in the salt water tank in the hotel lobby.

Daddy and Corban had lots of fun in the arcade!

Watching the Tide roll away

Saturday was our beach and pool day! We watched 3 dolphin swim past, saw a rainbow, chased birds, built drip sandcastles (volcano castles), dug out "pools," collected shells and played with a tiny crab on the shore (Corban released him back to the water and prayed he would go safely home!).

From sunrise until after dark we were out by the water.
