Year Round

In order to plan for some time off/slower schedule when Baby arrives,
we began school in July this year!
Corban is in 2nd grade!
learning about the differences
of globes vs. maps

His curriculum is:
Bible, History/Geography, Science, and Art:  MFW Exploring Countries and Cultures
Math:  Horizons 2
Abigail is doing a pre-k/Kindergarten mixture!
Her curriculum is:
Language Arts:  First Language LessonsBOB booksKumon Rhyming Words
and handwriting practice
Math:  Kumon Simple Addition and Lollipop Logic
Bible, History, Science and Art:  with Corban's MFW (but shortened)

Corban and Abigail will both be in Classical Conversations Foundations
classes this year and that program will begin the first week of September.
We went to a Classical Conversations Parent Practicum (for me) and Children's Camps (Geography/Drawing for Corban, Play Camp for Abigail, and Nursery for Hadassah) in July.  It was a fun time for the children and a great learning and encouragement for me!

Today, Corban went to a Robotics program at the library!  He enjoyed learning about robots and as a team building "dancing ducks" with Legos connected to a computer program.

Cinema

Hadassah saw her first
movie in a theatre
(Alvin and the Chipmunks with
Regal's summer movie express)!
After excitedly pointing to make sure Corban and Abigail were seeing what she was,
Hadassah sat quietly, wide-eyed through the show!

July Dates

Corban and I had a farmers market date!  We went to:
we shared a giant muffin and brought home lots of yummy things!

Daddy and Abigail had a park date!  They went to Bayview Playground to run, swing, hang, laugh and spend time together!
