June dates

Corban had a camping date with Daddy!
They had a fun boys night of indoor camping in our living room!
(the girls were already in bed and I only came in for a couple pictures!)
They snacked,

reached new high scores on Batman Wii,
and stayed up late talking, laughing and listening to an audio book in their "tent"!
Abigail's date was with Mommy!
She got to pick out any color of nail polish she wanted
(after much deciding between all the sparkly ones she chose blue!)
and then we went home and painted each others finger and toe nails
(adding some pink and purple from polish we already had)!

Summer Time

Over the summer we are going at a slower pace.
Enjoying trips to the library, museums, parks, play areas and the beach.
Doing crafts, board games and baking at home.  But also lots of just playtime!
Abigail is finishing her MFW curriculum, she enjoys the activities for each week
and is doing a great job starting to read!
V is for vegetables
Corban has a couple fun workbooks, is practicing guitar and has
a summer reading log
(where he tracks and summarizes the books he has read for prizes!).

sutures

Monday night at dinner, Corban fell carrying a bowl to the table.
The dish broke in the fall and cut his left arm badly.

Chris took Corban to the ER, where they gave him some stitches inside and then 10 outside.
It was a scary moment, but Corban was SUPER brave,
hardly cried at all and got to stay up late watching TV at the hospital.

His arm is healing well
and the stitches will be taken out in a week.

Just the Two of Us

While Corban and Abigail have been at camp
Hadassah and I have enjoyed our mornings together!
She is funny and she talks a lot!
She tells me "'Dassah is pretty girl" and "I love 'um" for anything she likes.
Hadassah has been a good helper with running errands (so much faster getting things done with just one little!), and we have had fun at home playing.
The first week she told me she was sad that she didn't get to go to camp too but this week she calls our time "Mommy dates" and says she "love 'um"
Hadassah really likes socks right now because she can put them on by herself.  She gets out at least 3 pairs a day--sometimes for her feet and sometimes for her hands!
