You know better than that

Today as we sat at the table for lunch, Abigail was in her booster seat playing with a toy and she dropped it on the floor. Corban looks at her and says, "Baby Abigail don't drop your toy. You know better than that."!! Corban is a very talkative little guy and it is fun to watch his vocabulary grow and hear him repeat phrases he hears us say!

Wedding Memories

Sunday afternoon I had the girls from our small group over for some time sharing wedding stories and looking through albums/pictures together. For fun (and because when else do you get to wear these dresses again!) we wore either a bridesmaid dress or our wedding dress! It was great and as I decorated cupcakes (mini wedding cakes!) with candy shaped castles and tiara's I was already thinking about how I can't wait to have princess parties for Abigail!!

Double Date

The CP's invited the Abigail's to a picnic and stroll in Leu Gardens on Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful day and a very fun first Mommy/Son and Daddy/Daughter date!

Abigail's Eating Adventure

At 6 months is when we start "solid" food! So Monday morning Abigail tried avocado and did really well with it. But I'll let her "tell" all about the experience...

Big girl sitting in my own booster seat

Yay, its time to eat! What's ''eat"?
(and holding hands with Corban, it's so fun to sit next to my big brother at the table!)

Corban explaining how this eating thing works

Wait a second, that's not what his looked like

I guess I'll try it

Whoa! What was that?!

Are you sure about this Mom?

What about YOU? Do YOU eat this stuff?

Maybe if I just do it myself
. Let me try.

NO! NO! That didn't help!

I guess this is not so bad
.

What did you say this was again?
Avocado?

All done!

Half birthday!

Abigail is 6 months old!
She weighs 14 lbs. 8 oz. and is 25 in. long.
At her pediatrician check-up Dr. C said she is doing great and is a healthy, happy baby girl!
She has started getting up on her hands and knees and rocking so I think "real" crawling is coming soon. She is also becoming more vocal with lots of sounds and squeaks!

Later in the week we stopped by the Birthing Cottage to visit Alice and Meg (who delivered Abigail)!

Last Saturday we headed back to the beach (this time to Cocoa) and had another fun day of playing in the sand , walking along the water, and a picnic lunch!

With Mama

Surfin Safari

Saturday was Abigail's first trip to the beach! She spent most of her time in the shade of the little tent, while the rest of us had fun playing in the sand (the water was still a bit too cold)!
pointing to the Corban outline in the sand (he liked being traced but did not want to be buried)

Joe Cool

We had pictures of Abigail and Corban taken last week and here is a little preview of Corban as we were waiting for our turn with the photographer.

Priorities

Last week, Corban was playing out in the backyard when we found that he had taken a beach towel out into the grass and was spreading it out, taking off his socks and lying down.

As I watched, I knew there was nothing that I was doing (washing dishes, folding laundry, etc.) that was as important as getting outside to enjoy the afternoon with Corban!

So we found shapes in the clouds, jumped through the hula-hoop, and blew lots of bubbles!! It was a fantastic
afternoon!
