June dates

Corban's date was with Mommy this month!  We went to Starbucks to get Corban the special Mocha Mint Frappucino and then to the library for him to go to the middle school book club of the month.  Our time together was mostly in the car but it was good to get to talk!
Abigail and Daddy had to wait and do their date when we got back from Arkansas, but they had a great time at the park catching up on her Q&A book!

Hadassah and Mommy did a plan a meal date!  Hadassah chose dinner- macaroni and cheese, frozen peas, bell peppers, blueberries and a plum cake for dessert.  It was all delicious!  She wanted to make it a family movie night with dinner and chose Water Horse for the movie.

Asher and Daddy went out to run an errand and then to Chik-fil-a to pick up breakfast to bring home for everyone!

The girls had their school evaluations with Mrs. AnnMarie and both did excellent!

We are taking a break for the summer but have this loose daily schedule:
  • 1 hour outside play
  • 30 min reading
  • 30 min make/build something
  • 30 min color/draw/write
  • 1 math lesson (Corban is going through BJU 6th grade on his own this summer!, Abigail is finishing her Horizons book, and Hadassah is doing Life of Fred-Apples)

Versailles and flight home

6/4
Hadassah and Mommy walked to get coffee and giant, chocolate croissants
at the shop on Champs Elysees.

We spent the day at Versailles.

Everything about it is huge and grand!
We took a long walk through a beautiful, quiet park area to the hamlet
(with lots of sheep and flowers).

The Gardens of Versailles

The children played a game (from the Versailles app) where they discovered all the main fountains of the garden.

Corban lost a tooth about a week before our trip, but wanted to wait to have his "tooth party" until we were in Paris!  We celebrated with ice cream in the garden!

We ate dinner in the town of Versilles at a creperie restaurant (we had 4 dinner crepes and 3 dessert crepes!) and then rode the train back to our apartment.
