Mom's Day

Chris and the children made it a very special mother's day filled with lots of love,
hugs and kisses, wonderful notes and a beautiful necklace!

The weekend before, they surprised me with a "teacher appreciation day"! 
They let me sleep in, then had a yummy breakfast all ready for us and gave me a special necklace that they picked out with an elephant on it "because elephants have great memories and you are our memory master, teacher, mommy"!

Bible: Alpha and Omega

Corban and Abigail finished My Fathers World:  Adventures in U.S. History! 

This was our Bible, History, Geography and Science curriculum for the year.
It was a fun curriculum that complimented (while going more in depth)
our U.S. geography and history focus in Classical Conversations Cycle 3
and allowed us to learn and study together.  

Corban finished American Adventures book 2 and First Language Lessons: Level 3.  His Imacs Full Math Enrichment and Computer Programming &Virtual Robotics classes finished for the semester.  Abigail finished Explode the Code 1, A Reason for Handwriting A,
and Pathway reader/workbook Days Go By.
Abigail and Hadassah's dance classes finished this month.  

As a family we read In Grandmas Attic.

Over the summer, Corban will continue his 

cursive handwriting book and Corban and Abigail 

will both continue their math curriculums, 

but we are now officially on summer break!

Asher Isaac is a healthy, strong, big and happy little boy!
He says "Mama" clearly (and loudly!), signs some (more, please, thank you, all done), has abbreviated words for some things ("wa" for water, "tha" for thank you), points and says "this", gets his point across and clearly understands what we say to him!
Asher loves to hug, cuddle, climb on and tackle us and tries to follow along with whatever his big brother and sisters are doing.
He really likes the water and swimming, he jumps in from the side of the pool and kicks his legs.  He knows that he needs a swimsuit to get in (when he is outside without one on he doesn't go to the pool) and brought me his when he saw the older children all changing into theirs one afternoon. 

Asher is wearing size 5 diapers and 24 mo/2T clothes.

He is a good eater (bananas and scrambled eggs are still favorite) and is still nursing.
He takes 1 long or 2 short naps during the day and usually wakes once at night. 

Asher is curious and observant, he often stands at our front bay window to watch what is going on outside.  Asher is gentle and sweet and funny.  He likes to make us laugh.  Asher is strong and fearless and a climber.  He is resourceful and stubborn- he likes to carry around the folding step ladder to reach whatever he wants.  

End of Year Program

 Our Classical Communications community does a wonderful End of Year Presentation!

Corban was awarded his
Memory Master certificate and a fun prize!

CC West Broward 2014-2015 Memory Masters

The Abecedarian and Mini Apprentice classes did their presentation on the U.S. Presidents and States/Capitals
(Abigail was Abraham Lincoln).

 Corban's class did a presentation on anatomy systems (Corban was the axial skeleton)

Mrs. Denise (Abigail's tutor) gave her a special gift for being a Subject Master!

April dates

Daddy and Corban went to see "Mythbusters: Jaime and Adam Unleashed."

First they went to dinner and then to the live show.  It was a fun night filled behind-the-scenes from the t.v. show, funny stories and experiments.
