We had a wonderful breakfast
at the hotel.
We ate outside, under the shadow of the Grande Arche!
And our waitress brought us macroons for dessert!
After checking out of the hotel, we went to the train station for the Eurostar.
It was about 2 1/2 hour ride from Paris to London,
with 20 minutes in the tunnel under the English Channel.
We had most of the car to ourselves and enjoyed seeing the French countryside.

When we arrived in London, we took an uber to our apartment (rented through AirBnB). It was a 2 bedroom (with sofa bed in living room), 1 bathroom (with a small washing machine), kitchen, living room. The apartment was in Kensington area, on a residential street of row homes/apartments with easy walking to Kensington Garden and to transportation.
Having the small washer (in both apartments) and drying racks in both apartments was great. We packed 5-6 outfits for each person and washed a small load of laundry each night.
It was a beautiful evening (and we soon discovered that sunset wasn't until after 9!) so we went to Kensington Garden (our apartment was just a couple blocks from the Italian Garden gate) to walk and play before dinner!
