In September, we had to cancel plans for a trip to the Naples area over Labor Day because of weather/hurricane warnings. We decided to wait and go on a family trip during Sukkot.
Daddy surprised us by booking a house on Cayo Costa-
an island in the Gulf of Mexico, off of Fort Myers that is only accessible by boat!
We stayed for 4 days/3 nights and it was beautiful and quiet, we saw a lot of nature and animals (eagle, manatee, fish, tortoise, birds, crabs), we had fun playing games in the house, collected lots of shells and sand dollars, we explored the island (we had 2 ATV's with the house and it was fun to drive/ride to get to the beach, explore trails on the island, and ride to the Ranger Station at the state park on the other side of the island), we relaxed and had a great time together!

Boat ride over to the island! The house had solar power with fans and lights, full kitchen, bathroom, even tv, but no A/C. We had to bring with us all food and supplies for the time we were staying.
There was a tropical storm in the Gulf, already much further north than where we were but its outer bands gave us a lot of wind and rain the first night (it woke us in the middle of the night and we had to close windows and move from loft downstairs to bedrooms)
