December school

At CC, the children have been studying astronomy in Science and made Oreo models of the moon phases and marshmallow/toothpick models of constellations!

At home, Corban and Abigail finished Augustus Casear's World (a book we've been reading together for History), studied Constatine and the fall of Rome, Justinian and the Byzantine Empire, and Muhammed and the birth of Islam.
In Science, they learned about the Digestive and Respiratory Systems and Speech.
We continued reading Twice Freed as a family.

Abigail finished her Explode the Code 6 book.

Hadassah studied the story of Noah's Ark and learned about Rainbows

 We made a rainbow cake!
Hadassah finished her Lollipop Logic book this month.

While I was listening at a CC meeting, Asher sat quietly beside me:

Lost Tooth

Hadassah was upset by her tooth suddenly bleeding and wiggling after a bite of dried mango (there were some tears and fears),
but later that night when her tooth fell out she was so excited!

As a family we celebrated with an ice cream party!

Hadassah's special celebration for losing her first tooth was a date with Mommy and Daddy to lunch and then going to the American Girl store to get Elsa's ears pierced!

Hadassah's lost her other front, bottom tooth the next week!

Wynwood

One afternoon, we went to Wynwood Art District- a neighborhood in Miami famous for its graffiti art covering the sides of the buildings.
We had lunch in the food truck area and had fun walking and driving around to see the different styles of art.
