Mexico

With ECC, our next country was Mexico!
making tortillas and then adding some cheese for quesadillas!
We also practiced some Spanish, studied the Desert biome, read about Cuba and Haiti, and continued reading the book of Matthew.

MOMs

Our church has an amazing MOMs (Moms on a Mission)
group that meets once a month!
It is such a fun time of fellowship and learning with (about 100!) other Mommies!
A time of being encouraged in practical ways as a Wife and Mommy through biblical teaching and lots of fun ideas!
I started attending shortly after we moved to Fort Lauderdale (while we were still in the "church shopping" stage of visiting different churches each Sunday, I had it on my calendar to be at the MOMs meeting each month!).
Three years ago, I was asked to write the monthly devotionals that go in the center (one friend likes to call them the "centerfold"!) of the take-home booklets full of fun ideas for the Mom's to be encouraged with throughout the month.
Each month has a different theme (September was Courage- to read click on the picture above) for the devotional and all the speakers (which is also used in the childcare material for the children while the Mom's are meeting as well as throughout the month at church in preschool and elementary curriculum).   It is such an honor for me to serve with the team of amazing women that put the meetings together each month and I am thankful for the creative outlet that writing the devo's has been for me!  (with Baby and our move this fall, I am only writing 2 this year).
These three wonderful friends are the speakers and each share on their own blogs throughout the month:
Happy Hearts,
Happy Homes,
and Marriage Moments.

Move

We allowed a week between our closing date and our move date.  But we went to the house almost everyday--the children loved running through and exploring the empty rooms and playing in the pool!
picnic dinner in the dining room
move day!!

(Abigail decided she wanted to wear all blue, Hadassah wanted to be "matching sisters"  and Corban happened to put on blue too!)

boxes, boxes, boxes!
