January school

Abigail and Hadassah spent 3 weeks studying Africa (and Kenya specifically) with a focus on Grasslands for Science.  Then they "moved" to Asia and studied Saudi Arabia while learning about Ecology and Conservation in Science.  In Bible, we read about Slessor, Morris and Livingstone and the girls memorized the Lord's Prayer.

The girls went to a Water Conservation class and then playdate on playground after.

Asher learned C for Cow, H for Horse, and E for Elephant!

 

He really liked making "elephant bread" treats for everyone!
(biscuits- one whole and one cut for ears/trunk, raisin eyes and cinnamon sugar)

January dates

Corban and Daddy went to 2 prep meetings for their Haiti trip, ran several errands together gathering all they needed for the trip, and then went to Haiti as part of a SAINTS family trip partnered with MOH.

Abigail and Daddy postponed their date to January!

Hadassah and Mommy had a mani/pedi date at home!  Mommy surprised Hadassah with a new nail polish (the perfect aqua color for her!) and they did a foot scrub and painted nails.

Asher and Mommy went to see Marvel Universe Live!

Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner and then to see Hamilton!

Dadddy asked that gifts from the children each be a date with him that they plan!

museum fun

 We met friends at the MODS museum twice over the break! 
First time was to see an IMAX movie and second time explored the museum and especially liked building in the Keva hands-on exhibit.

While the other children went to explore other areas, Corban and Samuel stayed to build a bigger than them piece!

We also went to the NSU Starry Nights program at Art Museum- children's activities and Renoir exhibit
