July dates

At the end of last year, we decided to change our date jar to be one date a month alternating with 1 parent or both.  While we all enjoyed the dates with both parents and one child, we all felt like having less frequent one-on-one time was a negative.  So, for the rest of the year we are going back to each month, each child has one date with either Mommy or Daddy! 

For July, 

Corban and Daddy had some fun boy time at Bass Pro Outdoor World

Abigail and Daddy had a great time at the Plantation Daddy/Daughter dance

Hadassah and Mommy had a nail date.  

We went to a store where she got to pick out a polish of her choice and then at home I painted her fingernails and toenails (and my toenails too!).  

Corban's birthday

When Corban realized Daddy had to go to work on his birthday, he asked if he could go too!  These two handsome guys headed to a morning at the office.

We all met for lunch and then Mommy and the children went to YAA museum for the afternoon.

July 4th

We went to the Plantation 4th of July parade in the morning.

The girls made a U.S. flag craft and we read the Declaration of Independence together.

We went over to friends' house for dinner and fireworks (and some of their chicks hatched while we were there!).

Asher did a week of safety swim lessons with Swim with Mr. Blue!

It was a great program and Asher did super!

On the last day, Mommy and the girls got in with Asher 

to practice what he had been working on all week.
