Flamingo Garden

We went to Flamingo Gardens with Uncle Randy.

Sunday afternoon, we went on a
Water Taxi ride on the water and
walk on Las Olas and along the beach.

We have all had so much fun watching the monarch life cycle in our backyard!  Checking under leaves for eggs, watching caterpillars grow from tiny to huge, searching for chrysalis, and watching the beautiful butterflies flitter around the yard.  

After the first group of caterpillars ate all of Abigail's first milkweed plant, we got 2 more plants which has allowed the entire cycle to begin again!

One afternoon, with perfect timing, Abigail saw this monarch just out of its cocoon!

Chris's birthday

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Celebrating their birthday and 1/2 birthday!
(a piece of cake is missing because earlier that day, after it finished baking, the children wanted to bring Daddy the first piece at work!)

I took Chris to the beach for a surprise birthday date, where we did a sunset Beach Bubble!  We got in a giant inflatable ball and then ran, flipped, and laughed together.  It was fun and different, but by the end of our 30 min we were both feeling a bit claustrophobic (and like hamsters in an exercise ball!).
