Summersational

The last week of June, Corban, Hadassah and Asher went to Summersational at church.  Rio does several weeks of themed camp, along with worship and bible lessons each day.  Corban was volunteering as a youth worker (and was placed as a helper in Asher's classroom- kinder/first grade).  Their first week's theme was Art Explosion!
The first week of July was a short week of Summersational- only Monday-Wednesday and the theme was Red, White, and Blue!  Corban again volunteered as a youth worker and Hadassah and Asher had a great time!

field day games!
Hadassah and Asher went back for one more full week!
Cooking was the theme for Hadassah's group and they made tasty treats each day.

building with grapes and toothpicks
Asher's theme was transportation and every day they had a surprise visitor.

The ice cream truck came one day and each child got to pick a treat!

Firetrucks came and the firemen explained the equipment and let the children climb through the truck.

Next, Customs & Border Patrol came and explained what their job at the port entails.

The last day they had a "drive-in" movie, sitting tin the cars they made
(Asher is scrunched down in his car, peeking out the top) and watched the Cars movie.

Each day included praise time, Bible stories/lessons, and lots of FUN!
